That felt Like Summer!!!

Sure enjoyed our little four day holiday where the sun shone, we spent all day outdoors and we felt that intense heat.. felt like summer holidays! I had to tell myself to get out of bed and get back into work mode this morning. Summer holidays are only 6 weeks away, I must be patient and not wish the time away. This is the best time of the year, when we get to celebrate with our grads and savor the results of our hounding, poking, prodding and encouraging. Enjoy the celebration of having assisted our students in getting to graduation. Summer is almost here.  Schedules: Please take note that this is a 3 day week. Today is Wednesday. Happy Momma's day to all of you Mommies out there! Such a great day to touch base with your kids. marc called me and he had good news. He got discouraged,  angry and frustated yet he finally prevailed! I'm telling you this story because there are kids out there who learn the same way he does. Those kids are i

Keep Calm and Plan On

Some students come to us with no plan to graduate. When we sit with them and put that plan together, they realise that it can be accomplished. The road to graduation is never a straight forward one,( not for most kids), there are many twists and bends in that road. The end result is... the student graduates. They learn that hard work is okay, being inconvenienced is okay, getting frustrated is okay, waking up early is okay. I thank all of you for getting our students to graduation, it takes us all caring about them, to get them there.  This passed few weeks I have had two conversations with students re: an imbalance of energy. When we are putting more energy in than they are, we have a problem. I told both students that scenario is unacceptable. They must put their energy into their work, we are not doing the work for them.  Notes this week: Our schools have separate Pd days this week. La Crete's PD day is May 10th everywhere else is May 11th.  Several people ar
