Monday Memo Notes

Ah, sunshine on our shoulders makes us happy.

We are two weeks from a well deserved holiday. You give the  gift of empowering students and uplifting their lives each day. Soon you will receive the gift of calm and relaxation for 16 days. That's a lot of relaxation! use your time wisely. 

Just when you think the multitude of things we do, don't count. A note written on a star bought on Friday said, " I wish life were easier." I walked passed the tree and that one Star wanted me to read it, luckily the little guys name was on the back so now my mission is to make that boy's life just a little easier each day.

Huge thanks go to our Social Committee who put together the nicest evening on Friday. Tasha, Michelle, Janelle and Erica were the fun team and had just the right mix of fun for the crowd. The little activities and the photo booth were so cool! My drawing looked like a two year old did it. We have little gifts for you ladies that we will present to you at our gift exchange when we can thank you in person. Again, you made it a really lovely classy night !! Classy ladies = classy night. 

Thanks for your efforts with exploratories. Mikayla Mowated visited my house on Saturday and told me that is something she misses a lot at her school in GP. They have no fun things like exploratories she said.  

Staffing

Welcome to Eva and Braidyn you ladies have fit in so well. We appreciate you jumping in and taking the reins. 

Emily is in Monday to allow for Lilli planning. Unless someone calls in sick then that will have to wait till the next day. 

Wanda is out Friday Pm. Emily is in. 

Events

Power lunch with central office staff- All staff are asked to attend this event please. We are getting supervisors from other schools so you get to relax for lunch and meet our central office staff. Should be fun.  

Monday- We start collecting Christmas hamper and food bank items. Please let kids know we will take any food and count it towards your total. Each item is counted as one. We will ask for totals each day and find out who is in the lead. This ends on Friday. 1st place class per capita gets a pizza party. Second place team gets a dessert delivery. Third place teams gets a dessert delivery too. At Buffalo Head they collected a total of 150 items i am thinking our bigger school should trounce that number. 

Face Painting buy students at lunch that is free.

Tuesday- Classes are to decide upon a good deed they will do for others. it can be in school or out in the community. Ask the students what they would like to do and they surely will have many ideas. 
Wednesday - Cake Walk- If you are feeling creative make a cake or else just come and watch it is so much fun. 
Thursday- Christmas treat delivery to a child they don't know they must tell them three things about themselves
Friday- Christmas Potluck- There will be three tables set up and families will enjoy a great Christmas lunch together. On this day we are all out on supervision at lunch time. We are sitting with kids who have no one or are helping at the buffet tables and are greeting parents. It is the nicest day ever. 

I did bring back some cool ideas for you from Buffalo Head and will put them into a write up and send it, it includes math ideas, websites and books. 

We have a week and a half to prepare for our concert which is always fantastic. Please practice those songs with your kids as they have so few periods with Kim.
