Just a quick Monday memo to catch you up on a couple of things. 

 Happiness Challenge is still on enjoy the challenges. Some of them truly are challenging and tough to do but you sure feel happier after you do them. 

Staffing

 Bonnie is out Monday for family reasons. 

 Anne is GP Monday.
Tuesday pm Zama overnight overhauling the resources.
Wednesday- Morning Zama- pm back to High Level
Thursday La Crete and Fort
Friday- High Level

 Eva is out Thursday and Friday. I am there Thursday pm to be with Alex. 

Events

 Science Fair Thursday the 17th.  I will be in Fort at morning and will stop in to see the Zama projects then. 

 We Are SILENT Day High Level Learning Store on March 18th. Raising funds for a Mental Health initiative in our community. If other schools want to jump on board you are more than welcome to. 

 Cat test drop off March 17th at Central. 

 Diploma digital writers I need to know who is writing digitally and what test they are writing. This info needs to go to the technicians. 

 Go Guardian reminder. The school division's filter tracks inappropriate use of computers anytime you are on Google chrome using your school division email etc... Advice: at home use your own email settings etc...

Report Card Week A terrific way to catch up with our kids, a time to think deeply about that student and where they are going. A teacher always asks themselves , how well do i know that student. If the answer is not well, we seek to get to know them better next semester. Report Cards are valuable to the student and their families and the process is so valuable to us. We can always do better.  Thank Yous Thanks  so much to all of you who took in the PD last week. From chatting with you my thoughts were the sessions were valuable.  Thanks  to all who are organizing the Wing Ding in High Level this Tuesday. Many local organizations are coming in to inform our students.  Thanks to all who made student contacts this week. Talking personally to our kids seems to make a difference.  Staffing We are close to hiring for the position in Fort. Speedy Memo

While on the airplane, I looked quizzically at the woman beside me wearing a mask... Ha! Turns out She knew germs were flying around that plane. Now, I have those sickness germs and she's partying somewhere! Note to self...masks look ridiculous but keep you germ-free!!!  Or perhaps the story goes this way... she had some horrible cold and it seeped out from her mask to infect me... Either way, she has a part to play in this mini illness, of that I am sure!   Lots going on this week- please remember that we are 1 week from May our kids need to pour it on these next few weeks.   Stanley Cup playoffs are continuing with just a few rounds to finish. Go Toronto, go Winnipeg!  Report cards are due Wed they go home on Friday. Parent-teacher interviews are happening in the weeks ahead. Those dates will be solidified this week.  PAT part A is in for grade nines. That is written middle of May. Nait comes to High Level. A counselor and two journeyman carpenters are coming to

This week in our CRM's we talked about our students and assigned actions to several. We are starting to figure this out;  people are coming forward to volunteer to do that action. In the past, we sat back waiting to see who might be assigned. Now, you are developing relationship with these students and are saying, " I can do that, I know her pretty well." or " I'd like to try to make contact with him, I have a soft spot for him."  That is the way CRM's are supposed to function, thank you for stepping up. CRM's ground us for the month to come. No kid is falling through the cracks without us grabbing his or her arm and trying to pulling him back on track. Wow! Cliche ville there! All English teachers are cringing!  Congratulations Congratulations to Eva, Bonnie, Dean and Jenine.
