Haven't we all been in situations where we felt unappreciated. It sucks! I wonder how appreciated and valued our students feel. You do such a lovely job of greeting them and checking in on them when they are working. My hope is that they feel appreciated and so do you. 

 Thank you for the compliments in the direct surveys. They made me feel appreciated and valued. Thanks so much for the helpful hints to improve my practice.

Thank yous

 So many thanks to La Crete for hosting many of us on Friday. You are great hosts. 

 Thank you to Mark for powering through being sick on Friday. There is no worse feeling than being sick with kids in the class and no sub any where to be found. Thanks for hanging on. 

 Thanks to Jenine for dragging her herself in on Wednesday when she could hardly walk.( yikes) Hoping you are walking straight these days!! 

 Thanks to Mark and Nicole for organizing a winter field trip for the Zama students. Sledding and lunch are part of the plan. 

 Thanks to Gail for organizing a Wing Ding in High Level on Thursday. Kids ate a lot but sure were more interested in working than talking. Students are like that. 

 Thanks to Holly and Bonnie for hosting a wreath and cards making experience for our students in HL. It is just the best way to get close to the students. 

 Thanks to all for making student contacts and recording it. Alberta Ed loves that and it shows students we are invested in their education.

Anne's schedule:

 Monday-  High Level- I have two  budget reports due. IPP"s 

 Tuesday- Arrive at Fort about 10:00 need to spend some time with Dani. La Crete pm Emily from Alberta Ed is coming to see us. 

Wednesday- Zama- pm 

 Thursday- High Level- 

 Friday- Zama maintenance/safety meeting- Dan's once a year trip! Hopefully back in pm for gift wrapping at spirit.

 Events/ instruction and Programming 

 Christmas gift wrapping- Dec. 16 pm at Spirit of the North. Dec 15th collecting all toys and food. 

 Please use google doc to fill in who is supervising which diploma. 

 Write a list of computer questions for Sharon or Dexter. I will contact them this week to see when each is available. 

 Half way through the quad at High level Public School. Interviews for them this week. We will try to make more parent contacts this week in all locations. 

 Great Kids Award nominations are due Dec 16th. 

 Robotics PD training is available January 31st.  Please let Jason Macdonald and myself know if you are interested. 

 First Aide- We will be sending out training option dates  please pick one.

Report Card Week A terrific way to catch up with our kids, a time to think deeply about that student and where they are going. A teacher always asks themselves , how well do i know that student. If the answer is not well, we seek to get to know them better next semester. Report Cards are valuable to the student and their families and the process is so valuable to us. We can always do better.  Thank Yous Thanks  so much to all of you who took in the PD last week. From chatting with you my thoughts were the sessions were valuable.  Thanks  to all who are organizing the Wing Ding in High Level this Tuesday. Many local organizations are coming in to inform our students.  Thanks to all who made student contacts this week. Speedy Memo

While on the airplane, I looked quizzically at the woman beside me wearing a mask... Ha! Turns out She knew germs were flying around that plane. Now, I have those sickness germs and she's partying somewhere! Note to self...masks look ridiculous but keep you germ-free!!!  Or perhaps the story goes this way... she had some horrible cold and it seeped out from her mask to infect me... Either way, she has a part to play in this mini illness, of that I am sure!   Lots going on this week- please remember that we are 1 week from May our kids need to pour it on these next few weeks.   Stanley Cup playoffs are continuing with just a few rounds to finish. Go Toronto, go Winnipeg!  Report cards are due Wed they go home on Friday. Parent-teacher interviews are happening in the weeks ahead. Those dates will be solidified this week.  PAT part A is in for grade nines. That is written middle of May. Nait comes to High Level. A counselor and two journeyman carpenters are coming to

This week in our CRM's we talked about our students and assigned actions to several. We are starting to figure this out;  people are coming forward to volunteer to do that action. In the past, we sat back waiting to see who might be assigned. Now, you are developing relationship with these students and are saying, " I can do that, I know her pretty well." or " I'd like to try to make contact with him, I have a soft spot for him."  That is the way CRM's are supposed to function, thank you for stepping up. CRM's ground us for the month to come. No kid is falling through the cracks without us grabbing his or her arm and trying to pulling him back on track. Wow! Cliche ville there! All English teachers are cringing!  Congratulations Congratulations to Eva, Bonnie, Dean and Jenine.
