Hop to it!
Move it Or lose it!
Your health is priority one. Do you look after your health? A doctor talked to Steve and I about things that happen to your body as you age with diabetes, but what he said next was the most worrying. He said, "When those start to happen they are irreversible." There is no getting your eyesight back, there is no regeneration of your kidneys or limbs. Those conditions are irreversible. Interesting that we think there is a fix for everything, but aging is irreversible. So let's do the best job we can in looking after ourselves. Getting moving is the absolute key. My Mom who is 79 walks 7 km a day. That keeps her spry. Do you exercise? Being a healthy Mom, dad, grandpa, grandma for your kids, niece or grandkids is the best gift you can give.
Hop to it!
Thank you
Thanks to La Crete learning Store and Lisa for organizing two Red Cross workshops, one in La Crete and one in Blue Hills. 21 students received their first aid training. The ripple effect is that they are first aiders when they are at home and at work, so there is much more knowledge out there now. Thanks so much for making these kids smarter. Thanks to Scot Elias for running both of those sessions for us.
Thanks so much to Connie Batt for running our Easter Eggs course. 3 students took it in and I must say the artwork was beyond incredible. The photos I took look like paintings, so gorgeous...So many stories told in those eggs. Thanks to Bonnie for organizing that for the kids.
Thanks to Jenine for putting up with no heat in her school for the past two days. Heat is important at minus 20. That little space heater has saved her! Hopes are it is finally fixed forever!
Thanks to Janet out in Zama. Janet has been organizing books, materials, photos, and equipment. It is such a tough job to do. There are so many outdated items that just need to go. She is working away every day. Thank you, Janet.
Thanks to Levi who is managing more and more kids, they are coming out of the woodwork. We are excited that we might graduate a student. We will hold off on that celebration..... but..... it sure could happen, maybe, we are hoping.
Thanks to Alex and Petra who are our counselors. There is so much to manage with our grads and we thank them for keeping abreast of it all. ( think I am trying to put as many cliches in my writing as possible today)
Thanks to High Level Learning Store who is hosting our first grad meeting at the Learning Store this Wednesday. That is a first for us! many people have never been in our building and we are excited to host them.

A student who is living on his own finally returned to us last week and handed in work.
