 Anne- This is catch up week for me- Budget- touching base with families/students - A NHEC home visit- 

 Monday- High Level- Comm 1005 course being taught in High Level today. 
Tuesday Am- Meeting Lorna Hewson Collaborative response PM Fort Vermilion student presentation. 
Wednesday- Fort Vermilion- Presentation to the board. PM La Crete if time warrants. Grad meeting High level
Thursday- La Crete am
Friday- High Level- Chad will stay in La Crete this day.

Well Done

 Both locations had a great turn out for parent teacher interviews. La Crete had 6 interviews and High Level had 10. Could it be that our parents are catching on? Let's celebrate that! 

 Diploma Marks are in- Wow our kids did really well on their diplomas. Congrats to you all for empowering them and preparing them. Let's celebrate that.

 Calmer week for our schools- just the presentation to the board going on. Another catch up week. 

 Staff Christmas "Get together" in High Level on December 14th. We chose High Level as we can only get subs in La Crete.  There are no subs in High Level. We will do a 15/20 dollar gift exchange. It will be a staff meeting- dinner- and a lovely send off before Christmas. A relaxing time- you need it! We need it! 
Next week we have a Scot Leys visiting on Monday and we have Mike in for the morning on Tuesday. Focus is on our Goals of connectivity, literacy and numeracy. 

 Have an excellent week. The postal strike may soon be over. Those packages may make it to loved ones???? Not sure I want an angry worker carrying my swarovski crystal ornaments??

    We had an additional parent come in the following day so that makes 7! We also gave the students of these parents $5 Success bucks- no draw for parents

Report Card Week A terrific way to catch up with our kids, a time to think deeply about that student and where they are going. A teacher always asks themselves , how well do i know that student. If the answer is not well, we seek to get to know them better next semester. Report Cards are valuable to the student and their families and the process is so valuable to us. We can always do better.  Thank Yous Thanks  so much to all of you who took in the PD last week. From chatting with you my thoughts were the sessions were valuable.  Thanks  to all who are organizing the Wing Ding in High Level this Tuesday. Many local organizations are coming in to inform our students.  Thanks to all who made student contacts this week. Talking personally to our kids seems to make a difference.  Staffing We are close to hiring for the position in Fort. Speedy Memo

While on the airplane, I looked quizzically at the woman beside me wearing a mask... Ha! Turns out She knew germs were flying around that plane. Now, I have those sickness germs and she's partying somewhere! Note to self...masks look ridiculous but keep you germ-free!!!  Or perhaps the story goes this way... she had some horrible cold and it seeped out from her mask to infect me... Either way, she has a part to play in this mini illness, of that I am sure!   Lots going on this week- please remember that we are 1 week from May our kids need to pour it on these next few weeks.   Stanley Cup playoffs are continuing with just a few rounds to finish. Go Toronto, go Winnipeg!  Report cards are due Wed they go home on Friday. Parent-teacher interviews are happening in the weeks ahead. Those dates will be solidified this week.  PAT part A is in for grade nines. That is written middle of May. Nait comes to High Level. A counselor and two journeyman carpenters are coming to

This week in our CRM's we talked about our students and assigned actions to several. We are starting to figure this out;  people are coming forward to volunteer to do that action. In the past, we sat back waiting to see who might be assigned. Now, you are developing relationship with these students and are saying, " I can do that, I know her pretty well." or " I'd like to try to make contact with him, I have a soft spot for him."  That is the way CRM's are supposed to function, thank you for stepping up. CRM's ground us for the month to come. No kid is falling through the cracks without us grabbing his or her arm and trying to pulling him back on track. Wow! Cliche ville there! All English teachers are cringing!  Congratulations Congratulations to Eva, Bonnie, Dean and Jenine.
