Hang On Snoopy, Snoopy Hang On

Hang on everyone. Thank goodness there are so many bright spots to the end of the year. Every day there is something that makes us smile. This week it is the excitement of graduations. These kids and families can't wait to celebrate. They deserve a family celebration. Pray for a good day, weather wise. That's what we need for this to fall into place.

Forcast 40% chance of rain and 22C. Perfect

Do you have students interested in this??? I feel the students need a break. However, there may be some kids who did nothing all year long, who would be interested in this everyday on line learning experience for the month of July.

Please let me know if you have students wanting these courses. I will let Karen know.

Amanda is out Wednesday of this week and Tuesday of next week.

What is Happening

# Students have the opportunity to take summer courses in Social and English The info is on the pages I sent. It is done virtually with a teacher instructing in the month of July.

#Health care aide course next year. Students can sign up for the year long course through us. What a great way to start a nursing career one step at a time.

# Grads for both communities happen on June 12th. Many of us in High Level are volunteering to park cars, welcome grads and collect grad gowns etc... Chad will say the speech in La Crete.

#Report cards are due Tuesday the 15th. We want to run them this day, get them signed and ready to go early. If you have been commenting all along you will have no difficulty with report cards.

# This is the last week to hand in work to be marked and put on the report card. Teachers if you have a pile up, call out to the other staff members we can assist, that is waht we do for each other. Your pile is my pile!!! Nice pile you have there!

# Summer Read- if you want to, I'm not giving any summer homework.  This is a lovely little 100 page biography. Street Life by Victor Rios. Leah is ordering them for us. Great give away for students too.

# Innovations in Rural Education Video- There will be a video circulated which outlines Outreach, On line virtual Education and Home Ed. You hear me stammer away. I can no longer criticize Justin Trudeau for saying um......... I am fifty times worse than he is. If you get passed the ums the message about outreach is there, we resuce kids. Chad did a great job or not saying more than 2 times. The video is entitled, Innovations in Rural Education.

# So many thanks for being patient at this time. Everyone is asking for something... We appreciate you getting it done in such a caring, graceful way!!

# Dinner with La Crete staff on Tuesday at 4:00, in Chad's back yard.

# Dinner with High level staff on Monday at 3:30. On the back deck.

# We are being included for the first time in school options newsletter  for the school division. Yeah we made it!!

# Our hole has been dug. We are now setting up for a concrete pour. Maybe we will be in by the end of August. Take a peek we sit  in between the schools.

# last day of classes is the 18Th. PD for teachers is 21, 22, 23. We are working on our Learning Store things. I know mike said you can do it from anywhere. Yes you can. But you can also come in if you want to work on course revamps, orientaion courses, we will start with a meeting on Monday morning at 9:00. You can tune in from anywhere. Please sned me a plan for what you are working on, I have a list of things which need addressing as well. We are going to try to build and on line course pilot.
