Time Is OUR Precious Resource

A master educator:

puts relationships first
is a great planner
has goals and lets everyone know what they are
lets others help them
believes it is possible to get everything done
does not ever play favorites
will update their thinking to match the times
realizes that tone matters
spends very little time complaining but much time planning for success

We are all on the road to becoming Master educators. A nice little reminder of what makes you a master!

Staffing- please remember it is a short week. It's Tuesday when you arrive back!

Thankfully Sara is in for Marvin. Marvin will be back in May. We send him wishes and prayers for wellness. Team six will wrap around Sara to make sure  she is set in that classroom.

Evelyn is in for the library on Tuesday.

Shane is out on Wednesday- Evelyn will take those classes.

Friday- Evelyn is in for Natalia so she can prepare for the Artist in residency week.

THANKS TONS TO YOU!

Lili teachers we are noticing huge results with the students you are teaching. They are becoming readers- what a marvelous thing to say about a child!! Your teaching is so excellent thanks for opening doors for your kids!!

Thanks to Kim P for all the testing she does. She tests all the time and assists us in seeking success for kids!!

Thanks to Sheena for assisting when Shelly was out. These ladies are specialists at the front desk and we love them both!!

Thanks to all who included their students writing in the gallery at the Gala. Students took lots of time throughout the day reading the writing.

Thanks to all who missed gym time etc... when the Gala was being set up. You were flexible and just made different plans. We thank you for that.

Thanks to Kim B for finding us extra swimming times. That sure helped and kids love swimming!!

What's happening this week?

It's pretty calm.

Report cards are due in to Shane and I on Monday April 13th. We are following our passed practice and are writing a lovely story about that child in several paragraphs. We are not writing single comments under each child. Time is precious!!

However, we do have four new kids coming from J' Dor they will need to be taught what Spirit of the North is like. They will be in survival mode.

Math team meeting Wednesday at 4:00- We are going plan some more math Pd for us.

Movie reward for the reading challenge Thursday at 1:00. This is what each teacher must do:

We need a list of who is not going to the the movie ( i think those numbers are smaller )

We need a list of your top readers ( top five) and the number of books they read to determine the VIP seating. Not all 5 will get VIP seating- we are comparing the number of books read in all classes to determine  VIP seating. Kids will get a popcorn and a water. Needing someone to pop popcorn Thursday morning. If you'd like to do this with a child please let us know.

We will supervise this you get to do things in your class which may include report cards. Make arrangements to have kids who didn't make it to be supervised in one location per grade and they can work.

Artist is residency is happening next week. Your class will be signed up for an afternoon you will be there with your kids.

Wetness will prevail this week. We don't go snakey on kids. Wet kids stay wet. Wetness is their problem not ours. The mess we do not allow in the school. Make sure kids take off out door shoes for the next two weeks.

Master teachers use their time wisely, my wish is that you get all you want to get done this week.

  1. This is going to be my new goal. Asking my self "is this really important or can it wait?, and to use my time wisely. I did not realize this was a problem on mine until I watched this, Thanks Anne! Hope everyone had a good long weekend, and has a great upcoming week!
