Happy Poppa's day to you guys!!
Today is the longest day of the year! Hope it doesn't feel like that... after you've been working so hard all weekend. Don't think we don't notice... cause we do! You are a very hard working group of people who are set to close up this school year with the grace and honor you started it with! Thank you
Some words we will hear this week are:
Its so nice to be able to say good bye to our kids properly this week.- NOT ( I'm counting the days to freedom, this week cant go fast enough!))
These kids have so much fun energy.... NOT-( These kids are sucking the life out of me)
I am checking off everything on my list, it will all get done, no worries.... NOT- ( How am I ever going to get this done, I'll never do it, Shane and Anne are just pushing me too hard)
I'm going to sit down today to plan what I need for the whole week... NOT... (hey I know!!! I"ll have a nice five course meal for my kids on the last day of school hosted by a souse chef from Indonesia- can you get that figured out Shelly and Leone!")
Celebrations
Happy father's day to Shane, Allan, Marvin. You are great dad's who deserve to be recognized for who you are!!
It is one month until Janelle and Marc say I do!
Cheri gets her new house on Friday!!
Erica got 92% on her final for her health class.
Megan is High Level's child circle worker and Julie Klassen is the child circle worker supervisor.
Staffing
We are in the process of hiring a librarian and two teacher assistants. That will happen this week.
This week Kim's job will be posted. We love Kim and are going to clone her ( don't tell her we stole he water bottle and got some DNA from that) Her attitude, plus her regard for health promotion plus her ability to bond with all kids in this building is "priceless." But we celebrate for her and know her gift will ripple through our school for years to come as she is teaching grade three.
I am out to Fort tomorrow morning for interviews for the TA positions at the learning store there. I will be back just in time for the outdoor cafe.
Samantha is out Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday so please help out Andrew's mom by asking your kids at the days end to take out the garbage. Any clean up done please take the garbage out to the dumpster. it is such a help.
Emily is in the library for two days. She will be helping with the reading challenge OUTDOOR cafe on Monday Morning ...all morning as will Erica. Hope that's okay Erica. I knew you would be a great organizer for that! Great training for being a teacher!
Events
Be organized please... for your filed trips and events. Get stuff the day before not the morning of. Think about what you need and let us know, so we can get it for you. But give us a days notice. De-stress the week by planning for it.
Outdoor cafe: Monday lunch
last year many of you helped serve. If you'd like to come serve on that day we would so welcome you! We need about ten servers, cooks. This time we will get some kids serving as well. Should be so much fun!
Tuesday field trip day. Check your bus requests, check all the stuff you need now .
Wednesday- The coolest day ever in the history of Spirit!! It started with the kids wanting a flip day. Outside all day and inside for recesses. It turned into the coolest day ever. Lunch outside- bike rodeo in the morn. Spirit trails in the morn. Waterworks in the afternoon! So much freedom and fun for kids and us. Thanks to that organizing committee for the great organization of this event. Love your creativity!!!

Friday morning Awards- please call the parents of students who are receiving awards. This is important! Right after the awards we start our movie. Clean up and then head home. Our dismissal is 2:00. Everyone can leave at that time if your checklists have been completed.
Then you get to enjoy freedom for the next seven weeks. I wish you days of rest and calm and peace. Stay safe but adventure enough to challenge yourself.
