Tis the season
Tis the season for...
Walking in the rain, not avoiding it
planting something
going to a golf course- you don't have to play although playing is fun-but go have lunch there- golf courses are beautiful!!
basking in the sunshine
just listening to the summer sounds
stopping for long periods and chatting to people - people arent in such a rush in the summer months
enjoying iced drinks
watching the bugs do what they do- mi watched a bee on my flowers for about ten minutes- man hes industrious
do something for someone and don't expect anything in return
go, just go!!!
We're lucky we have four seasons as quick as they may be- others have only one- how sad!!!
Congratulations
Congratulations to Eva who was awarded with her 10 years of service award. We appreciate all you do Eva! Thanks for being you. Thanks to Alex and Eric for coming to the dinner and celebrating with her.
Almost congrats to Petra who will soon be bringing home a brand new red F 150. She will have the nicest vehicle in our parking lot. We are paving our parking lot just for that f-150!!!
Staffing
Eva is out for two days- We have adjusted it so no one is going out to fort on Tuesday. We hope Eva feels better soon.
Welcome back Holly! She was out last week and we missed her so.
Petra is out today and Cathy is in.
I am out to GP on a field trip with the Zama kids. We have many many places to go one of which will be GPRC. These kids need exposure to a college early!!
I will still have my computer with me and will be answering emails etc... and will be checking messages. I come back Friday pm.
Events/ Programming
Grads are preparing for their big day on June 11th. Please be sure to check with these kids to see that they know what is going on. We will assist in any way we can.
Diplomas- we need to make sure everything is in order for the writings in two weeks. We need to ask if they want to write digitally. If so I need to know by Friday to let the techs know.
Year end awards. Staff need to consider who might get the awards for merit and academics.
Zama kids are doing all of their instructional field trips in one week. Looks like they will be learning a lot this week.
There is no summer school, however, Hgh Level is a writing center for Diplomas in August. Students need to register through my pass. Alex will cover week one. I will cover week two.
Check out our garden in High level. Its a community garden that our kids spruced up. Over time it will be a spectacular place for the community to access.
This is crunch time. There is lots to do now to prepare for a calm finish in all schools. We want to be sure to recognize everyone for their hard work and for their presence at our schools. Being proactive with our marking, meeting with kids, planning for our awards celebrations will make for a great ending to our year.
Be sure to make it a great week. Zama will surely have a great time learning new things.
Sincerely,
Anne
