Quick Monday Blog

I'm going to race with myself to see if I can get this done quickly today. Time 6:12- Go! I have a cold that is kicking my butt and I have a big butt!!

Thanks to everyone for putting out really informative report cards. Learning Stores managed to catch up with several parents as did Mark in Zama. This week we will reach out a little more to those students we missed.

Events/Happenings/ Notable things

  • Cat tests are taking place in Zama this week.
  • Several Learning Store students will be tested using the Woodcock Johnson test. We need this in order to ask for accommodations for our students on Diplomas.
  • SPED ASSIST is down. I think I crashed it when I asked to have access for all five schools. opps.
  • We are doing grade 9 PATs with several of our Learning Store students in May and June.
  • Grad letters will be going out at all schools this week. We are letting kids know if they are at risk or not.
  • Copyright Laws- We need to reiterate that the orange booklet does exist and you should each take a read to update yourself on copyright laws and guidelines.
  • March 17th is our PD day where everyone is expected to come to High Level for a staff Pd day. EA's will be give a day in lieu of this one. Just let me know when you want to take it.
Thanks so much to you

  • Thanks so much to Alex for doing his infamous cooking with the students. It was such a joy to hear the kids laughing and talking about food of all things.
  • Thanks so much to Paul and Jean who did some international cooking in High Level. The school smelled fabulous and the students said they really enjoyed the classes but, didn't enjoy the fish so much!
  • Thanks so much to all who put together the grad letters. It is a requirement by Alberta Ed to let students know where they stand in order to graduate.
  • Surprise! Pasi looks way different!!! Go on and play the three dots in the corner will get you the DAR. It took Petra and I a little while to figure that one out. Soon we will love the update right now, I don't.
  •  Thanks to Alex and Darren for helping in training Michael. He will need our assistance for the next two or three months. I'm sure he will learn something new everyday.

Treat your body well this week. Let those germs know they are not welcome!!

Done 6:35. Sorry no pictures or lovely stuff. Too busy blowing my freaking nose. Maybe one picture...
