Springing Forward
We need to model to our students that there are times we may fall back, but we always endeavor to spring forward. This week a student found herself without a place to live. She approached her problem with calm and figured it out. Her solution was only temporary, however, she now has the time to put a plan in place, move forward! Imagine being homeless, I have never been homeless... I can't imagine it. hmmm
As role models to these students, speaking positive words assists them in solving problems calmly and intelligently. Thanks for being positive role models and mentors to our students.
Congrats to You
Congrats to Eva, as her son Shane will be going to Provincials in Edson for basketball.
Congrats to Jenine whose daughter Alyanna is ready to have her own classroom. Soon we will find out where we will be teaching. Whoever gets her will get a Superstar!!
Congrats to Eva and Petra whose boys will both be graduating this year. Such a celebration for you both. I know there's a few months until that happens, this is a huge celebration.
A celebration for Nicole, as her Mom had cancer surgery and came out of it like wonder woman!! Her Mom looks great and feels great too! Such great news.
This weekend I get to go try on Mom of the bride dresses. Kelsey gets fitted for her wedding dress. A lovely moment for us parents, I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.
Congrats to Alex and Darren who worked diligently to get a reluctant student to fort these past two weeks. They built a schedule for him and so far ( fingers crossed) he has been following it. He hadn't been in yet this year and he has come 4 times in two weeks. This is huge!!
Thanks to Bonnie for bringing in a community member to build soap in High Level. That activity brought reluctant student in as well. Bonnie has connections to the moon and back!!
Thanks to Eva for organizing first aide in La Crete on Monday and Tuesday. Our students and staff will build much needed skills in first aide this week

If I had an "eighth day of the week" I would use it to bundle up and spend time outside with my boys 😀
ReplyDeleteIf I had an extra day, I would spend it with my Son, daughter-in-law, grandson and granddaughter. We could play games, watch a movie, play outside, do some baking, do some cleaning - the what is not as important as the being together!
ReplyDeleteIf I had an eighth day to the week I would use it to finish the laundry in my basement..... maybe I'll need a ninth?
ReplyDeleteAn eighth day would be spent purging clutter from my house, and scrapbooking in my basement (a girl can dream).
ReplyDeleteIf I had an eighth day, I would try to do all the things I couldn't get done on the seventh, because I have two little girls and I'm a procrastinator.
ReplyDeleteIf I had an eighth day, I'd make an extra long weekend of it and go to Red Deer to spend time with my grand boys! Missing them!
ReplyDeleteHmm, an extra day, you say? Well, if it were in the winter I would spend the time cooking or reading. An extra summer day would be spent on the golf course, no questions asked!
