Accountability survey plus Our School survey- This week is a great week for us to have students complete the accountability survey and our school survey. It takes a half hour to complete. Students will be directed to the accountability survey then when that is co0mpleted there is a link to the Our school survey. Accountability data goes to the government and the Our School data comes to us. We need as many students as possible to complete this survey. When completed they receive two success bucks. Secretaries will have the codes.
Teachers and parents are required to complete the Accountability survey. We are having a parent night in La Crete on Feb 7th and one in High Level on February 21st, these are also parent-teacher nights.
Diplomas are complete- thanks so much to Darren, Jenine and Petra who put a lot of their time into prepping the diplomas and ensuring they are done in an organized, secure manner. Thanks to Eva and Bonnie who make up sittings for these kids and thanks to Eric and Alex for preparing your students well for their diplomas.
Safety- Please ensure your students know where the alternate exits are in your buildings. I just looked at ours this morning and they are snow covered. We couldn't get out if we tried, So please be sure your exits are accessible. We are getting at ours this morning.
Progress reports which are just a compilation of student marks this quarter, go out on February 9th. They need to be done and into me by Tuesday, February 6th.
Zama City School Trustees meet with the community for a community consultation on February 20th. Please do NOT say Zama is closing none of that has been decided at all. Zama City School is under review. Everyone will be heard before any decision is made by the School Trustees. Until then, Janet and I are organizing things, filing through all four classrooms and disposing of papers from as far back as 1972. we are preserving photos, older books anything with history.
Good news
Gail Stolz, the student wellness worker for HLLS, had her operation on Tuesday and is now back in her own room at the U of A. She had a tumor in her jaw. We are thrilled she is back to texting us, hoping she will be transported to High Level soon.
