Diploma Week is Here
Diploma week is getting to be a very busy time for all four schools. It used to be that only the two bigger schools were writing. Now Fort and Rainbow have students writing at all times. That is great news. Thank you to everyone who booked seatings, called students, gathered study materials, taught, motivated the kids to write and supported them.
This week will be relaxing, we will be calm and cool. If there is a situation with diplomas we will get it solved and will err on the die of the student. If a student is 9 minutes late we will let them write. If a student breaks down while writing we will find another spot for him her to write. If a teacher has a migraine and needs to leave someone will just op in to take their place, now worries at all this week.

What's next on our list of things to do?
Plan for your holiday in just ten short days.
Prepare for name change of our locations. Government has decided to name all Outreach Schools the same. So our New names for our locations will be - Alternative Learning Outreach Stores. So High Level Will be High level Alternative Learning Outreach Stores. That's quite a handle. Not sure if I can even say it but it will be our new name. La Crete's name will be La Crete Alternative Learning Outreach Store, LCALOS. We will change our letterhead when we return from break.
Report cards are due when we get back from holiday. I know I am going to do mine before I go on holiday. I'll have a much more relaxing holiday that way. When will you do yours?
Parent teacher home visits will take place at the end of April. We will bring fruit baskets to the homes and meet families.
Budget- we are on track. Hoping to have some renovations done to Fort in the next month or two. Success bucks line will go up soon as students cash in their rewards.
Home Education has officially moved over to the new building. Chad has done a great job with the move. It was calm and cool.
The space is fabulous. All staff will enjoy the added access of another bathroom!!
Enjoy your week!!

April Fools!
A new name for our programs, eh? How interesting that change is taking place on April 1st...
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should go with "Alberta Program of Reading Intensive Learning For Outstanding Or Lucky Students"
I am hoping to do my report cards before the break but I am already so thankful we have the time over the break as backup should we need it. All ready alleviates stress for me that's for sure!
