So Glad To See You Again!!
We've had 10 days to focus on our own family and friend dynamics. No school. You needed that time to relax, check things off your list and to connect with those important to you. Hoping you are watchful of those around you, making sure they are handling things well. Higher the anxiety, the higher symptom development. Job losses, financial woes, mental illness, obsessive behaviors ( on computer, elsewhere) within closed quarters can trigger people.
Be aware of those around you. Seek help to lower their risk of harm, to lower their anxiety. When unsure....consult, consult, consult ask questions then ask more questions. Your genuine support of your family and friends is needed right now.
Now with students, staying connected is the key. They are in closed quarters without the aide of school as an interrupter. There is a theory of close distancing which notes that we often appreciate and are more grateful of our loved ones when they have been close then are distanced. ie: spend a week with Steve, appreciate him more when he goes off and does stuff for an afternoon and distances himself. Our kids are not distanced from their families. Yet Distance is required, needed, to get back to the gratitude stage. Our kids aren't getting that distancing. Hopes are they are still working, or seeking alone time in a positive way, reading a book, walking, group chatting with friends. You will know it when you talk to them, you will know whether they are in a good state or not.
Staffing
Please fill out the google sheet for this week which states where you are.
Monday- High Level- perhaps at some point getting to report cards but not yet!
Tuesday- Rainbow Lake
Wednesday- High Level
Thursday- La Crete/Fort hopefully.

More news of staffing for 2020/21 should happen this week. With the recent anomalies there could be some shifting. We will calmly wait and see. Calm is cool.
What Does This Week Look Like?
Report cards go out this Friday with the student's DAR. We want to keep the students informed of their progress, or for a few, lack of progress.
Spring is coming- we may lose a few kids, let's use this soppy, sloppy month to get as much done as possible.
Due Dates- please keep putting due dates on assignments, that worked really well for us, lets adopt it as a practice.
Graduation- Next week we will talk about what that looks like. How do we honor our graduates? I'm sure Mike will be speaking to that topic today in our admin conference call at 2:00. With budgets frozen, we are limited, however, our creativity is not limited.
Parent teacher interviews- think about how we can solve this issue. Do we make ourselves open for calls into the school next week? Two weeks from now??? Are you speaking with parents or students???
Leah and Kayleen's last days for this school year will be April 30th. These girls are so good at what they do and will be missed each day.
With the coming of Spring many of us wish we could spend our days connected to our gardens or schedule free. Can not wait to enjoy the season.
Enjoy your week. Report cards will get done and we will start our next project!
