Toay is Wednesday, May 26th.

Today is Wednesday May 26th

Looking to the future...

In one month you will be free.

In one month your worries will be few.

In one month you and your family will be the only thing on your agenda.

In one month summer will arrive.

In one month flowers will be in full bloom.

In one month you will have plans outside of school.

In one month you will know that you rocked this year. You will know that kids learned from you. You will know that kids are moving on, and are better for having met you.

Such a great way to start a summer break.

Staffing

We must take a minute to thank central for creating a calendar this year which worked well for staff. This extra day off attached to a long weekend was brilliant. The days Mike gave us were so needed. He looked after us with this year's calendar. Next year's calendar is awaiting the decision by the ATA as to whether the convention is in person or not next year.

Chad is out for the rest of this week. Enjoy your time with the kids Chad, and Sarah too!

Leah is out today.

So far... everyone else is in.

What's Happening In the month ahead

  • Division is asking us to have all students we can to complete a division connectivity survey. This is different from the Accountability survey. I will send the link today. Yes we can bribe with chocolate bars!!
  • Grads are running into a deadline soon. They need 80% of their work completed to walk the stage. Thankfully, you have worked so hard with them that we have very few who are in that position.
  • June 11th is the deadline for all courses and tests.
  • June 18th is the last day Learning Stores are opened this year.
  • Course materials- each one of us needs to be vigilant about asking for materials to be returned. Eva and Holly are great at rounding this up but we can help forsure. Losing texts is not an option.
  • June 21-24th will be organizational days for learning stores. Days where we can go at the courses and make them ours. High Level  aides will be securing our building for the move. Apparently, we can leave a glass of water on the counter and he won't spill it with this move. That's how good these guys are. Now... we don't trust that at all, so we are going to take our books etc off the shelves and put computers on to the floor. Our new building hole has not even been dug yet, time is ticking.
  • Grads- Can we be sure to ask our grads if they are organized and have what they need. A huge thank you to Eva and Holly for ordering the student's hoodies they are so proud when they receive them, and they should be.
  • Division deadlines are: Any resignation letters must be received by May 28th.  Ed plan need to be posted on websites by the end of the month. I will be sharing the document and having you make additions/comments.
  • Year End Awards- Several students deserve to be recognized for their work and their attitude. There will be no award ceremony, however, kids can receive their certificates and their gift card. These kids have earned celebrations and recognition from the people they respect and care about, you.
