Shoebox collection- Pick two kids who are going to lead the collection in your class doing daily reminders etc... This is a huge service learning opportunity. 17 days till we send out the boxes.

Instruction and programming

PGP's it was great to sit with you and give you the time to chat with me about concerns and celebrations. We do have our hands full with students with special needs. Once we get them learning, everyone else can relax and teach on. We are arranging schedules and are filling in holes this week.

report cards- get those marks in please or this will take you a lot longer than it should. As it stands half are handing them in before the 7th and half after. So Shane and I will just come in over the weekend and get them read for you.

I have a 16 page paper due November 11th for my masters any takers on doing that for me.

This week blog on how do you stay ahead: Real how do you balance your life???
here is mine:

I balance my life by taking one positive step at a time. Doctor Oz counsels his heart patients to think fabulous thoughts before being operated on, as the body has a way of benefiting from positivity mode. People who think negatively have a really tough time recovering from operations.

To encourage you blog on..... there will be more prizes this week.

  1. Prioritize and plan ahead. Never leave too much to do in the morning – always try and do it the night before. Keeping positive? Make your computer password one that makes you smile keeps you focused and encourages your heart. It's amazing how many times in one day when you type that! Including the five times I tried to comment on this blog. Trying to stay positive about blogging!

  2. I balance my life by trying to be as organized as I can. I couldn't do it without the help of my family though!! Keller and the rest of my family definitely help me get things done and stay a float. Teya, Jackson, the kids in my class and coworkers get me laughing in the day; they say laughter is the best medicine:)

  3. ah balancing life...the constant struggle. I try to keep it all in perspective. Sometime my friends & family need me more. Sometimes work needs me more. As long as one doesn't take more time for a long period of time, then all will be good.

  4. Tough one, I have been thinking about it all day. I guess I am still adjusting to my new life in High Level and finding that balance. I do try to have a quiet, winding down time every day. It allows me to not ruminate about stuff that happens. I also try to do my best in keeping up with everything, but when I do not, I take it easy on myself, keeping things in perspective as Shane said.

  5. First off I don't mind you using me whenever I am needed. :)
and balancing my life well I think most days I'm not staying ahead but just at the surface. I really try not to put things off until last minute and be as organized as I can but at the same time I have two kids so organization isn't always happening! I am also trying to worry less and laugh more :)

  6. I balance my life by always thinking glass half- full thoughts. I try to think of everything in a positive way and I don't stress the little stuff. So what if my kids have to find their clothes in the clean clothes basket instead of the dresser for a couple days. I am also a huge list maker and prioritize items. This year my goal is to laugh with my kids more and see them as the whole child not just the report card sent home. I want them to know their true worth and strengths. This will relieve some of my stress and help balance our home life.

  7. One day at a time. One class at a time.

  8. I try to balance my life by not sweating the small stuff. I am a worrier so this is sometimes hard for me. However doing that allows me to be calmer and then I can laugh more, because there are some pretty funny things that happen every single day. When it's time to work, work hard but when it's time to relax, relax to the max. I also try to add a little physical activity everyday to reduce the stress.
