Welcome April! 

 Dear April,
 I feel for you! People have such high expectations of you. They expect you to bring sunshine, flowers and heat, yet you are tormented by winter pulling at you! Poor April, You can't win! If you let your guard down for just one second winter  blasts you with a flurry of desperation. Poor April we feel for you!! We will be kind to you... April!
Celebrations

 Robbie is home. Of course he is back to work. ugh men!! Debbie will be back too. If you know of any products that are no sodium let Debbie know. His kidneys do not need salt!! We should all help our kidneys by cutting down on salt! ( Salt and me are best friends so that will be hard work ! It means salt and i are going to break up... yikes)

 Janelle fits her wedding dress. It's actually a little big!! Way to go girl! 

 Shelly is almost moved in to her new house. Many memories in that house... so many more memories to come on their new adventures. 

Gosh we sure do appreciate that!

 To all the staff who served and helped out at our Apollo Restaurant. Thank you for poking our hearts. Such a lovely way to connect with families. Your time was soooo appreciated. 

 Thanks so much to Kim B, Kim P, Sean P, Shane and all others who embraced the idea of a winter fun day for the kids and staff. There was so much preparation in that day and it went off without a hitch. Staff do you know you look 20 years younger when you are outside all day! 

 Thanks to all who assisted in any way in making random acts of kindness week such a nice week. So many people were touched by your kind acts!! 

 Thanks to all for putting on a great round of exploratories. I went to a red carpet party and watched a real lacrosse game in action. 

Staffing

 Evelyn is in Sheila's class  tomorrow morning. 
Evelyn is in the library for Monday pm and Tuesday all day. 

 Sheena is in for Shelly on Monday and Tuesday. 

 Cathy Robinson is in for Shane and I on Wednesday for LTM.

 Evelyn is in for Marvin on Thursday. 

Events

 Principal for the day. We will have a lockdown. Yes grade four s have health they will keep on teaching health no worries. Assembly period 7 and 8. principal is going to call free time after the assembly is done. So just go to your classes, kids can do what they wish, laptops, go outside, read, lego. It will be about twenty minutes of free time by the time we are done assembly. 

 Then no more events. Yeah!!! calm is cool this week. 

 Enjoy a relaxing week and a full four days off in a row!!! You deserve a lovely rest!!

Report Card Week A terrific way to catch up with our kids, a time to think deeply about that student and where they are going. A teacher always asks themselves , how well do i know that student. If the answer is not well, we seek to get to know them better next semester. Report Cards are valuable to the student and their families and the process is so valuable to us. We can always do better.  Thank Yous Thanks  so much to all of you who took in the PD last week. From chatting with you my thoughts were the sessions were valuable.  Thanks  to all who are organizing the Wing Ding in High Level this Tuesday. Many local organizations are coming in to inform our students.  Thanks to all who made student contacts this week. Talking personally to our kids seems to make a difference.  Staffing We are close to hiring for the position in Fort. Speedy Memo

While on the airplane, I looked quizzically at the woman beside me wearing a mask... Ha! Turns out She knew germs were flying around that plane. Now, I have those sickness germs and she's partying somewhere! Note to self...masks look ridiculous but keep you germ-free!!!  Or perhaps the story goes this way... she had some horrible cold and it seeped out from her mask to infect me... Either way, she has a part to play in this mini illness, of that I am sure!   Lots going on this week- please remember that we are 1 week from May our kids need to pour it on these next few weeks.   Stanley Cup playoffs are continuing with just a few rounds to finish. Go Toronto, go Winnipeg!  Report cards are due Wed they go home on Friday. Parent-teacher interviews are happening in the weeks ahead. Those dates will be solidified this week.  PAT part A is in for grade nines. That is written middle of May. Nait comes to High Level. A counselor and two journeyman carpenters are coming to

This week in our CRM's we talked about our students and assigned actions to several. We are starting to figure this out;  people are coming forward to volunteer to do that action. In the past, we sat back waiting to see who might be assigned. Now, you are developing relationship with these students and are saying, " I can do that, I know her pretty well." or " I'd like to try to make contact with him, I have a soft spot for him."  That is the way CRM's are supposed to function, thank you for stepping up. CRM's ground us for the month to come. No kid is falling through the cracks without us grabbing his or her arm and trying to pulling him back on track. Wow! Cliche ville there! All English teachers are cringing!  Congratulations Congratulations to Eva, Bonnie, Dean and Jenine.
