March Marches On...

Good day Everyone,

You make your own weather. It may be Spring on Vancouver Island but we have a little ways to go yet. Whatever the weather, you make your own weather. The way to react to the day makes your own weather.

I just wrote in my journal the three things I was grateful for that is so calming and it makes me smile that I am fortunate and know it. Hoping this exercise makes you think deeply and know you are someone who is clear and  can see the beauty around you. Beauty in people and in nature and in moments.

Yesterday some students and I watched three ravens chasing each other for over two minutes it was the most fabulous feat of flying tricks ever. We all laughed at how agile they were through the trees. They just weren't giving up, they wanted the first raven's cookie, Must have been chocolate chip!

Hugs and Positive thoughts wanted;

Michelle's Mom Roberta, the toughest lady I know, is battling the big C . She is a fellow educator loved by many kids and colleagues. Just take a minute to send a positive vibe her way. She'll feel it, I know she will.

Debbie's husband Robbie is at the U of A with kidney troubles. We are all going to appreciate our kidneys today! We don't say thank you often enough to our important body parts!!! Love your important body parts today!! Sending positive vibes to Robbie and Debbie in Edmonton!!

Staffing

Braedyn is in the library for Monday and Tuesday.

Shelly is out Thursday and Friday and next Monday and Tuesday to move. Now she could use a hug!! Our Sheena is in! We are so thankful!!

Janelle is out Friday to try on her wedding dress in Edmonton. We are so excited for her.

Debbie is out, will let you know how things are going.

Events

Hoping you made your positive call home last week. It's for you as much as it is for the parents, as you need to hear positives from the parents too. We need to do that more often. I need to do that more often.

Random acts of kindness week. Can you think of one thing to do for others this week. Whether it be to stand at your door and shake the hands of your students or write a note again for each child or do something for the staff or your neighbor. Your classes are building random acts of kindness baskets to be delivered Thursday. Can you write on the staff room board where yours are going? They can go to individuals too.

Apollo Restaurant opens this week on Thursday. We are pushing the time to 5:30 as many people have to attend the Music school recital at 7:00.  That will give them plenty of time to have dinner then enjoy music.

Report cards are coming. Get ahead.

We'd like to open the parent portals and start training parents through instructions in the newsletter, so having your marks in as you do them would be so helpful.
