June You have Come too Soon!!!

  1. Welcome June !!!!

Okay, so did I miss something here! It is June already! Where did time go? We were so busy putting our faces to the sunshine that we over looked the fact that there are 20 schools days till year end.
If I get buzzzyyyy now I will be ahead of the game. This morning I will do my comments for grade six Skills For adolescence. I can also look over the budget. I can review secretarial resumes. I can also get things ready for the new principal. This week we are handing out the year end duties sheets. There may be somethings you can get to before the year end rush. That makes for a calm relaxing year end where we wind down with grace, not chaos!

Planning for closure is as important as start up. Grounding our kids and having them recall all that you've accomplished over the year is integral. Doing fun energizers and activities to bring them closer before they leave each other is necessary. Teaching them how to say good bye and have a good summer needs to be done. Teaching them where they get supports when they don't have a school to come to is crucial. They can seek trusted adults, there is a kids help phone number to call, the library is open, the splash park will be too. Some kids need direction.

Celebrations

Wanda N has a birthday today. Have a lovely day!

Rupert the guy I just meet while walking the dogs turns 40 today.  They were picking bottles and we had a lovely conversation. Happy Birthday Rupert!

Marvin, Fern and I were spoiled on Friday night at the awards ceremony. It was lovely thank you to all.Congratulations to Marvelous Marvin and Fantastic Fern.

Our New Principal will be announced on Monday! We get to celebrate for that person. And celebrate we will. Can't wait to find out! This is when the dominoes start to fall. Such fun!

If it rains we will celebrate, so do the rain dance guys. We need it!

Staffing - You are the best staff there is, you always give lots of notice and cover so well for each other if we cant fill in a hole. We appreciate that.

Amber may be back. If not we will have a sub for that class and Amber can continue to recover.
