 It is always great catching up with everyone. Our staff meeting was a good one where we identified what needs to be done, now we set aside the time to do those things. Thank you for your time, I know that's a valuable commodity.

 We appreciate Mike taking the time to come visit us. He is there for us, if we ever needed anything we'd just have to ask. 

 We will have a short Monday memo today as we talked about everything on Friday. Bonnie and Jenine I will fill you in as I see you.

 Monday- High Level- Work experience visits/ bursaries meeting 
Tuesday- meeting in La Crete in the morning. Meeting in High Level 1:00.
Wednesday- La Crete and Fort Vermilion 
Thursday- Rainbow
Friday- High Level

    My greatest worry was embarrassment. Now that I am an adult, I constantly embarrass myself and can't fathom why I was so worried about it!

    I recall worrying about grades. I was pretty competitive with some of my friends, and we always tried to outdo each other with our results.

    In Jr High, I spent the day worried about the girls that chased me home after school every day, and if my mom would catch me smoking. In Sr High, I worried about having a place to live, if the RCMP was coming there, and how I could just get through the week of work/school to Friday night.

    I think in High School a big worry was a couple friends who were super intense and I was worried a lot about if they were going to be upset, felt like always walking on egg shells. Also my parent's relationship failing and walking on egg shells at home. Lots of careful walking!

Report Card Week A terrific way to catch up with our kids, a time to think deeply about that student and where they are going. A teacher always asks themselves , how well do i know that student. If the answer is not well, we seek to get to know them better next semester. Report Cards are valuable to the student and their families and the process is so valuable to us. We can always do better.  Thank Yous Thanks  so much to all of you who took in the PD last week. From chatting with you my thoughts were the sessions were valuable.  Thanks  to all who are organizing the Wing Ding in High Level this Tuesday. Many local organizations are coming in to inform our students.  Thanks to all who made student contacts this week. Speedy Memo

While on the airplane, I looked quizzically at the woman beside me wearing a mask... Ha! Turns out She knew germs were flying around that plane. Now, I have those sickness germs and she's partying somewhere! Note to self...masks look ridiculous but keep you germ-free!!!  Or perhaps the story goes this way... she had some horrible cold and it seeped out from her mask to infect me... Either way, she has a part to play in this mini illness, of that I am sure!   Lots going on this week- please remember that we are 1 week from May our kids need to pour it on these next few weeks.   Stanley Cup playoffs are continuing with just a few rounds to finish. Go Toronto, go Winnipeg!  Report cards are due Wed they go home on Friday. Parent-teacher interviews are happening in the weeks ahead. Those dates will be solidified this week.  PAT part A is in for grade nines. That is written middle of May. Nait comes to High Level. A counselor and two journeyman carpenters are coming to

This week in our CRM's we talked about our students and assigned actions to several. We are starting to figure this out;  people are coming forward to volunteer to do that action. In the past, we sat back waiting to see who might be assigned. Now, you are developing relationship with these students and are saying, " I can do that, I know her pretty well." or " I'd like to try to make contact with him, I have a soft spot for him."  That is the way CRM's are supposed to function, thank you for stepping up. CRM's ground us for the month to come. No kid is falling through the cracks without us grabbing his or her arm and trying to pulling him back on track. Wow! Cliche ville there! All English teachers are cringing!  Congratulations Congratulations to Eva, Bonnie, Dean and Jenine.
