Cool People
Monday, January 25th, 2016
I had a chance to meet some cool people while I was out in Thunder Bay. Emilia is a Prof at Lakehead University who is going to retire then volunteer on reserves helping with their educational systems. She is intrigued by the North. I learned so much from her.
Mariella is soon to graduate with her education degree. She has a 28 year old sister who is autistic and has devoted her life to building awareness around disabilities. She wants everyone to know that people with disabilities are people first then they are austistic or downs or have cerebral palsy. I learned so much from her.
Stan the cab driver who gets bored and has karaoke set up in the taxi. Usually he just sings on his own ( how he reads the words and drives at the same time not sure!!) He put on any song we wanted. Sweet Caroline was our choice. I learned a lot from him, he makes his job fun!!
Do you meet new people and learn from them??
Here a great parody on Adele's hello made by a teacher for teachers about snow days or cold days.

Move for High Level- Please pack the stuff that matters to you. If you love it, cherish it, value it, don't want it broken or dropped or misplaced then please pack it. Write where it should go on the top of the box. Locations are the Bonnie's office, glass office, kitchen room and big classroom as designated areas. Those are the instructions we will be giving the movers. We will have boxes for you to use. I am packing my stuff as I like it. If you don't absolutely need it or absolutely love it then it should stay behind or go back to your house. I am taking some books to my house.
