Keep Calm It's January
Keep Calm and carry on is a saying that appeared on posters during the war. The British government created them and now we have suddenly taken to this phrase. Keeping calm and cool is always good. Imagine a paramedic who lost his or her cool... yikes. Imagine a policemen who lost his cool going to a domestic dispute... yikes Imagine a teacher/educator who lost their cool, who worried, thought the worst of everything and panicked. Yikes!!! Keeping calm is cool. In High Level we are going through a move and are doing it with grace and calm. Our move date is coming soon and there will be little difficulties. One thing we know is, that it will get done, we will move and it will be a coooooool change for us. We will keep calm and carry on! Calm is always cool!
Diploma Weeks Ahead
Well its diploma week. I thank Alex for doing a diploma prep for his students in La Crete. No one showed for the Language Arts prep, but once kids understand what a prep class is... they will show. Students are scheduled to come to the Social Studies prep tomorrow morning.
Diplomas this week include:
Wednesday English Part A
Thursday Social Part A
We have kids writing in all locations.
I ask that each of you administering the diplomas review the administration guidelines

In High level could teachers and educational assistants please predict who might be writing a diploma if we were to have diplomas in April. Please forward that list to me by the end of the day Tuesday. This is just an educated guess of who might write. We are trying to set up a sitting for High Level for April if there is a need.
Report Cards
Report cards are coming up the end of the month. Please be sure you are up to date with marks and have some idea of the comments you are wanting to write on your reports. I will sign all reports before they go out.
Thanks to you
Thanks to all who attended the Power Lunch in La Crete on Monday. Many thanks to the La Crete Learning Store for hosting us. We heard Roger reiterate that we are to continue to fulfill our role in the school division which is to provide an alternative to education to the one offered at the local High Schools. It was a super conversation. We spoke of technology, programming and the move. Thanks to Nicole for coming all the way from Zama. You are a super sport Nicole.
Thank you for arriving to work on time. We have a group of students who arrive when the Learning Stores are opening. It is always great for the teacher/staff to be there before the kids. Arriving ten/fifteen minutes before the store or school opens is reasonable. I thank you for doing that.
