Quick Memo Today

Hello Everyone, I guess our ice storm wasn't this bad.

Going to make this a quick Monday Blog. I will tell you that there will be three ten dollar gift cards for those who leave a comment or reply to this blog this week. Your odds are pretty great!

I did see a red bird in my tree that icy day!!!

Thank yous

Thanks to Paul, Petra, Holly, Bonnie, Gaye, Landon, Maddie and Bonnie's Mom for helping out with our rummage sale in High Level. The students thank you from the bottom of their hearts for your time( it was considerable). The students accumulated about $1400 for their student union fund.

Huge thanks go out to all who donated to the rummage sale. The items were almost new and sold quickly. All other items will go to The Trading Post in Fort Vermilion as they are collecting money for a Seniors center in Fort.

Thank you to Eva and Bonnie who have or will be meeting with Bob Derksen about marks.

Thanks to all who handled the icy school closure day well. Glad you stayed home and made the most of that day. Kudos to our Superintendent for seeing how terrible the conditions were for all, and keeping people home safe.

Thanks to Nicole and Mark for letting Zama residents know of the school closure.

Thanks to all staff for doing report cards and progress reports. We want to put out quality reports that inform parents well. We are constantly improving the process and will get to a report we are very proud of.

Thanks to all at the Learning Stores for handling the semester change well. We always have an influx of questions,  thanks for handling their questions with calm and grace. We want kids to be successful and giving them the info they need to do so is necessary and appreciated.

Our Blog comment Question: 3 ten dollars gift certificates up for grabs.

What's your favorite song and why? If you can try to imbed it into your blog comment.

Mine is: Christine McVie's Songbird because of  its simple piano and Mc Vie's fabulous voice. The lyrics have  a coolest message. Have a listen, but turn it up!!!

Have an ice free week.

  1. I'm a huge fan of BonJovi & Queen, but I like all kinds of music. One favorite that always brings me back to fun memories, and enthusiasm for today is by canadian groundbreaker, Trooper.

  2. Only one favourite song? That's a tough one... Quite a few are sticking out in my head, but I think I'll have to go with 'Wishlist' by Pearl Jam. Beautiful song. Reminds me of my friends back home.

  3. What a friend we have in Jesus has always been a favorite song of mine as a great reminder for myself and a great memory of my grandmother. It is sung by many artists and Paul Baloche is one of my favorites. Enjoy!
